You guys should totally use Sabaton's "Panzerkamf":

Panzerkampf / The Battle at Kursk / Отечественная война

You know, there are many people in the country today who, through no fault of their own, are sane. Some of them were born sane. Some of them became sane later in their lives. It is up to people like you and me who are out of our tiny little minds to try and help these people overcome their sanity

I like the song, but it is inappropriate for the intro I think.
one of these songs I would consider for matching!

There March The Soldiers - Red Army Choir - CCCP USSR

Bear McCreary - Kara Remembers (piano cylon song full version) Battlestar Galactica Season 4

 - I like 'There march the soldiers' by Red Army Choir. Got a nice
history ring to it, too. Hey, it's great that there are choices
 available :)
 - Bear McCreary : Kara remembers. Interesting song ?
 Is it appropriate, though?

That was my personal opinion... but don't get your hopes up :P

As for the music, I don't think we can use any of these due to copyrights (or so i've heard)

 - Get my hopes up... well, at this rate, it'll be released
publicly before a 2nd round of beta can get started, yes?
Eh. Too many changes I'd love to implent to improve the mod,
though ;) Give it more 'flavor' ;) (Yes, I'm all for balance, don't
 worry) lol. ;)
 - Public release doesn't mean it means to stop working at it,
 does it?
 - Music, ahh, copyrights. Well, the russian one, it's old old,
to statute of limitations could help. As for Sabaton one,
 I'm sure they'd be HAPPY to help/oblige. They're pro-war
(their songs are all about war)(not war itself, but more the
history part of it?). And it'd make 'em extra promotion,
And it's not like you'd be making profit from it. Why the hell
 not? :)
 - Just ask first :D

pfffft I have friends and family that work for A.S.C.A.P. its the American copy right protection company.

that song is rather old and if the chap who made it is dead (probably is) then you would have to wait something like 70 years BUT it was made in Communist Russia so just like the AK47 the lad probably did not make a penny off the song and has and forever will remain in the public domain

 He's right! He's right! :D Grin. *(Clueless*.
 Well, it's a non-profit mod. And I'm sure SOMEONE wouldn't
mind the publicity. Surely can find something, somewhere.

We can use this, at worse.

 Or this :

ANJ - Gorbachev (from Stalin vs. Martians game)

yeah but............sense Russia was a Communist state back in the day I don't think that many artists would copyright their music so I think that you could just use any ww2 RUSSIAN music and it should be free to use. Only RUSSIAN music though, and plus the artists are probably all dead which means less money to spend on it if they did copyright it (which they didn't)

If I may, I have more WWII-era Soviet songs then I know what to do with. Maybe some will come in handy? (None of the below are my own YouTube peices)
