Corsix mod studio problem
« on: August 03, 2017, 06:19:32 PM »
Hello. I want to make some balance changes in certain mod, so i downloaded Corsix mod studio and followed the guide. http://www.corsix.org/cdms/usage-guide-unit-stats-8.html

Unfortunately when i try to launch the mod from the Corsix it runs vCoH. It doesn't matter which .module file i run. My own or EF one or the Europe at War one. It always runs the vCoH. Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

Unfortunately, the launch from corsix button has been broken for a while, I think at least since 2.6, probably earlier. What you'll have to do is make a shortcut for your mod and launch from there, which is inconvenient, but only a minor, one-time effort!

Thanks for the answer, but I can't really set up the mod. Let's say it's name is FTM. Like in the YouTube guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ew7WFJJFas
I followed the steps and added -mod FTM to the CoH shortcut. The only thing is happening is that the game is listed green as launched for few secs in steam, then it closes without any windows popping up. I tried to follow every guide i found on YT or anywhere, but i can't still launch it. Do you know what the problem is?

If the mod doesn't run and the launch parameters are fine, there are problably some files using missing references in the attrib folder that cause the mod to not work. The problem would be to know which file is the problem.

So it seems it's again Corsix fault, since i tried not changing anything and just creating new mod by corsix, then launch it. How do you guys set up new mod? Let's say i want to make my own version of EF (actually it's my own version of Europe at War) for personal uses. What i would do is to copy all the ef/eaw module files and rename to let's say ''bandaro''. Then i would run corsix, choose ''bandaro.module'' and change the parameters to my own. But i met a wall there, because it's protected from saving. It runs though, so it's a step forward compared to the corsix files.

I found something about this in the relicnews archives. It says corsix is outdated since the 2.400 and provided the right module file. Unfortunately download link no longer works :(

Edit: Solved
