Hi ! With version 2.700.2.42 RELAUNCH and EF 2.300 , reinstalled everything from scratch , game still crashes.

If you installed the 2.602 compatibility patch it will always crash if you are playing the new version, are you sure you installed in the right CoH folder? (in case you have more than one.)

Also, could you upload your warnings.log right after you get a crash? otherwise I don't have anything to check about it.

Hi ! The game is installed in the folder : C:\Program Files (x86)\Relic Entertainment\Company of Heroes - Complete Edition
I've checked the installation procedure and the game folder after finished installing, everything is in right place.
no compatibility patch is installed, maybe is the combiner ? but it says compatible for 2.700.

I really doubt that is the latest Steam version, unless you selected that folder on the Steam set up in that path. It looks to me like you downloaded a torrent and want to play EF with it and there is not pirate version for the last release.

Then again, I can just speculate without any file to back up.

Why then appears 2.700.2.42 in main menu, you mean this could've been a fake info ?
I'll try asap to upload crash and fatal error info that happens while playing with the combiner...so far.

I wonder if that happens because the ai error we got some days after we released the patch then. Do you play vs AI? Are you sure it is a crash or a fatal error?

Yes VS AI  a crash in 15-20 minutes in skirmish and some other time twice a fatal ai error exec paused...that happen with the NHCmod_v2.700b combiner...i tried the EF_2.3.0.0 on a random map  and finished the skirmish without problems.

Hey guys, I have a problem, when i start skirmish with ostheer or urss and construction barracks my game go in crash. i also put graphics details low but haven't resolved the problem. How resolved this problem???

*Temp/RandomLettersAndNumbers.dmp (see below)

How to get the DUMP file

• Hold Windows Key and click R
• Enter "%Temp%" (without " " and with % %)
• Find the .dmp file that was created at the time of the crash

Additional Information
Please provide the following information as well.

*What map were you playing?
*Which factions were involved?
*What were you doing when the crash occurred? Try to be as accurate as possible!
*Do the crashes happen during every or almost every game?
*What game mode were you playing?


Doing this helps us figure out the cause of the crashes easier, and fix them. Posts without any relevant information will be deleted.

One last thing I'd like to add as note: IF YOU ARE PLAYING THE NO-POP CAP MODE AND YOUR GAME CRASHES, YOU SHOULD NOT BE LOOKING FOR TECH SUPPORT FROM US, BECAUSE WE DO NOT GIVE SUPPORT FOR THAT VARIANT OF THE GAME.

That game-type was included due to popular demand, and since CoH Essence engine cannot support the stress of handling too many objects regardless if you use vanilla factions or not, specially if you are fighting against AI(regardless of faction) we can't do anything about it.

I have a question.  In another thread I posted my logs regarding a crash I got but it got closed so I'm bringing the same logs here.  The crash happened during a long game.  From the crashes' logs I see that the problem might be related to an airplane strafing ability that a player tried to use.

Hi. I have coh(new steam version) 2.700.2.42, EF version 2.300. When I play skirmish mode the game freezes with "crtical fail" message 20-30 minutes after start. And it not depends on map, fraction or what I was doing at that moment. On previous EF versions were no freezes, but crash reports. Please help with this problem.

This man is right. The game crashes after 20-40 minutes. What about updates or fixes?

We can't fix crashes caused by memory issues, so nothing we can do about it. Specially if it ran 8p maps with 7 AI players and no pop-cap mode :\.
