Help understanding some things...
« on: June 15, 2014, 01:26:21 AM »
Ok so last night I download/installed EF and updated to 2.2.2.1 (I think, or it was 2.2.2.0) and I hit play. It loaded game and all was good. I didn't want to do multiplayer at the time since I was gonna get off and go to bed so I just decided to do a quick skirmish. I picked a map, and chose the factions. I chose to play as Soviets vs Ostheer on a 4v4 map. It loaded to a point then made an error about the temp folder. I cleaned out my temp folder loaded it up and got a different error which I can't recall sadly but it wasn't the same temp folder error. At that point I just went to bed.

Today I was able to into a match as both Panzer Elite and Britain to try out their new units which went fine. Loading does take much longer than usual I've noticed but it does load me in so I can play. Playing as Soviets still does not work though.

I have been looking around the forums and from what I see I need to have my CoH set to update 2.6.0.1 (or something like that). Mind you I am using the New Steam Version of CoH which I've seen is problematic running EF. Currently I am running update 2.700.2.30 on New Steam Version. I have seen that I should download "Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor" which is running 2.6.0.1 and then run EF on that.

I am just really confused on what I should do. This probably isn't that hard, and when I do figure this out I'll be kicking myself for not just figuring this out before. Anyways, please tell me what I should do. Thanks in advance!

I do have 32-bit windows yes.

These are my specs

Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz

3.5 GB RAM

Nvidia GT 610

I run my other games with 50+ fps on minimum. CoH I get about 60 fps. So I don't know.

Other than what that link explains, we cannot offer more assistance. These are the limits of the 32 bits OS.

The result will be always the same no matter what version you install, the problem is the 32 bits OS as I said before.
