there are 2 readme file , one from normal EF , other from beta, both got the same problem, game suddenly frozen and not repsonding anymore
Sorry if this is double posting, but can anyone with knowlegde of fixing thing issue help me to figure out the solution to fix this? the mod started to give me such problem like this since patch 1.600

You or your partners are not playing with the option of Shader Quality on Ultra right?

You or your partners are not playing with the option of Shader Quality on Ultra right?
i was playing with AI . I can only play with ultra shader when i use coh without mod, with mod, the highest i can choose is high otherwise my game would just crash after 5 minutes with any mod. But, as i keep the high shader, the game with mod frozen after 45 mins or more during a match and stopped responding. This is just sad, it also happen with lowest setting.

I'm not sure what's going on in your end, have you tried to check the game cache integrity in the library options?

Hey I also have a problem with Ostheer, everytime i load them up in a game and playing them in skirmish the game freezes and crashes. I have The New Steam Version and updated to 2.700. The Mod is updated as well and it doesn't seem to be a problem with the game, just the faction.

First of all, when you post a large chunk of text you use the code tags button() that you see when writing a reply, otherwise it makes the thread difficult to read.

Secondly, Eastern Front only supports the Steam version patched up to 2.700, you are using the retail one with 2.602. It will never run properly as it.

You need to download the New COH version on Steam(or add your valid retail key on steam as if you were registering a new game and then get it) otherwise you won't be able to play EF. Either that or you work in a way to make it compatible backwards but you are not going to play online matches with anyone.

But the 2.602 still can play the EF mod, it's just not work properly right? And what the different between the 2.602 and the new steam version?

Multiplayer I suppose. Not sure if they fixed something else.

2.602 will crash 100% of the time, not sure how that could be called as playable.

I looked for the scar file but didnt find one for the time of the crash(guess because it crashed on opening)

Additional Info:

I downloaded and installed the EF mod with desura but when opened the mod at first it kept saying that EF was not installed, it also said this when i clicked update but when i clicked play it would load up the game but it seemed like the game wasent up-to-date, so i downloaded each of the updates from here on the forums. i installed them one at a time but now every time i press play from the launcher it waits a moment and then crashes before the game even starts.

If that's all what the warnings.log says you are missing some core files of the mod and it cannot start.

I recommend to uninstall, then search and destroy what ever EF file or folder that was left on "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch" so you can reinstall it without having old files there.

Make sure the EF installer has this path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch" and also double check that path is included in every update you install and than the CoH Directory option in the launcher's settings menu has the same path too.

Crashes after choosing Ostheer

EF 2.2.1.0
COH 2.700.1

I can use Ostheer maps and all other armies, including Soviet.  But on any map when I select Ostheer as my army or as the enemy the game loading screen stalls then crashes.  The OS is Japanese so the error tells me it's a 'Temp folder' problem of some sort.
