(Please Read The Whole Thing)
Hello Everyone. I joined The Forums Recently. Played The Mod, COH Was Already My Favorite Game & This Mod Added What I Needed. First I Would Like To Thank The Mod Devs For Making Such And Awesome Mod. Please Don't Stop Working On This Mod Till It is Satisfactorily Completed. Please Don't Abandon It Just Because CoH 2 is Around The Corner.( CoH 2 Wont Be Any Good ;) ) I Will Help You Guys In Any Way I Can. My Expertise Lies In Game Design, Quality Assurance , Artwork (Not 3D modeling) & Music. I Am Currently Making A Trailer For EF (some of the official trailers are not so catchy..no offense) And My Friend Is Working On Making Some Nice Promotional 2D Artwork. We Will Help Recruit More Comrades To Fight For Our Cause  ;D

Well..so I Played EF For About 18 Hours And Found Out A Lot Of Things That Need To Be Fixed & Some Bugs Too. So Below I Have Made A Report... Sorry I Crammed Up Everything Here..  :-\

(if any of the problems below feel like an insult to you(the devs) then Im sorry)

A Big Problem For Soviets -
There Are No Soviet Units That Can Spot Enemy Camouflaged Units, Making Soviet Infantry Fodder For Enemy Snipers, All Factions Have A Scout Vehicle.. American Jeep, Wehrmacht Motorcycle, Panzer Elite Scout Car,British Have Multiple Vehicles That Can Spot Camos. Example Bren Carrier.  Soviets Have Nothing.

Bug - There Is A Problem With Line of Sight Of Some Units. Some Units Such As Snipers & German Flak 88 , Who Should Have Large Line Sight  Have Very Less Line Of Sight And Reveal A Very Small Portion Of Map From Fog Of War But The Funny Part Is.. If Fog Of War Is Removed By Another Unit And A Enemy Is Present There Then The Sniper OR Flak Can Fire Beyond Its Line Of Sight. If You Did Not Understand then.. The Problem Is Unit Has Large Range But But Reveals Less Fog.. Which Means.. In Short Increase Line Of Sight of Snipers & Other Long Range Units.

Balance Issue - OMG Soviet Artillery Fire Base Has Unlimited Range!!  :o It Can Fire From One End Of Map To Other. This Is Madness. Soviets Will Build Them In Safe Guarded Places And Pound Enemy Base With Ease..  :(

Minor Bug - Even After You Have Purchased All Company Commander Upgrades, You Still Keep Earning Command Points.(In Vanilla CoH Command Points Become Zero & You Cant Earn More)

Suggestion - I Would Appreciate If The Soviets Started With One Ingenery Like All Other Factions Start With.

Problem - When Soviets Win. A Box Appears & Says You Are Victorious, With A Background Image Showing A German Soldier Carrying A Wehrmacht Flag.  :o  ???  (How About I Make An Artwork For It & You Guys Add It to The Game.  ;D )  Same Thing When Soviets Are Defeated.

Very Important Suggestion - Soviets Don't Have Any Casualty Stations Like American Medic Station, Wehrmacht Medic Bunker , British Casualty Clearing Station, How About Replace Medic Trucks With Stationary Medic Tent Which Will Heal Nearby Units. ( Please Note Panzer Elite Don't Have Any Casualty Stations Too)

Extremely Important Suggestion - The Observer Team Gives Unfair Advantage To Soviets, In Other Factions Only Officers, Captains, Lieutenants Can Call Artillery, And Officers & Captains And Lieutenant Are Not Cheap, They Cost Lot of Manpower & Fuel. Please Take My Advice & Remove This Unit "Observer Team". Give Its Artillery & Flare Abilities To Command Squad Or Snipers.
Another Suggestion, Change Command Squad Into "Major", Let The Other Guys With Him Vanish. Then He Will Be Like German Officers Or British Captains. Give The Major A Set Of Nice Abilities Such As Supervision & Propaganda War & Artillery Strikes & Charge. (Major Must Cost Fuel) Now All Of The Above Will Really Balance The Game Very Much. Because Snipers, Officers And Majors Cannot Engage In Combat Directly(observer teams get into combat).(Observer Team Calls Himself Sniper.. same voice commands )

Suggestion - I Don't Think Soviets Had Tank Hunters.. And Tank Hunters.. Name Coincides  With Panzer Elite Tank Hunters.  :P  .. They Are Useless Anyway. I Took 4 Squads Of Tank Hunters Against One Stug IV.. No Good. Those AT Rifles Are Good At Killing Infantry Though.. Remove Tank Hunters Please.

Problem - System Voice Alerts Are Made To Alert Player of Important Events Going On In The Map.. System Voice In In Russian  :'(  :(

Very Big Problem - Many Players Turn Off Their Speakers When Using Naval Forces Or Guards Or Command Squad. Because, The Weapon Sounds Of DP Light Machine Gun(Naval Forces & Guards) And SVT-40 Semi-Automatic Rifle (Naval Forces & Guards) And PPS-43 Sub-machine Gun( Command Squad) , Weapons Sound Are Really Really Bad Quality And They Are Very Loud & They Hurt Ears A Lot.

Suggestion - Please Replace Those PTRD-41 Anti-Tank Rifles With Recoilless Rilfe Which American Airborne Units Use. It Wont Make Much Of A Difference, It Will Be More Effective Though.

Suggestion - I Assume Guards Are Soviet Equivalent Of American Rangers , Wehrmacht Stormtroopers . I Mean They Are Soviet Elite Infantry. So They Give Them a Anti-Tank Weapon Upgrade(Recoiless Rifle or panzershreck or bazooka or PIAT)

Problem - Upgrade Times & Build Times Of Soviet Faction Is Too Fast Compared To Other Factions.

Balance Issue - Why Does Calling Shrafnie Troops Cost Munitions It Should Cost Manpower. Like All other factions. Calling In Units Via Company Commander Upgrades Should Always Cost Manpower. This Is A balance Issue. And Katyusha Rocket Is A Mobile Artillery Equivalent To American Sherman Calliope, My Concern Is That Why Does Calling Katyusha Rocket Cost Only 320 Manpower. It Is Too Low. It Should Cost 420 or 500 Manpower!

Important Suggestion -
The Following Are Required
System Voice Alert When Enemy Attacks Structures
System Voice Alert When Supply Lines Have Been Cut
System Voice Alert When Purchasing Company Commander Upgrades
System Voice Alert When Global Upgrade Complete
Unit Voice Alert Receives New Weapons
Ingenery Voice Alert When Defences Construction (outpost, MG dugout, sandbags etc) Complete

Suggestion - Please Add English Unit Voices (They Add Mood To The Gameplay)  :) And Tank Voices Should Have Radio Static.( minor problem)

The suggestions aren't insulting but the use of a capital letter on EVERY word is. You don't need to do this in English. Only capitalise the first letter of a sentence and proper nouns.

Spotter teams reveal camo with the flare.

Snipers and flaks need another unit to spot for them. This is for gameplay reasons and means you should use combined arms.

Soviet firebase has a little longer range than US howitzer.

More CPs after maxing the doc is intended, so you can see kills in FoW. You're right that this isn't in vanilla but is added because it is very useful.

Soviets don't need to be exactly like the other factions. Soviets start with no units, OH starts with 2. The same applies to medics; not everyone needs them.

Observers have artillery because Soviets lack doctrinal ~3CP arty strikes from offmap. The unit is not that different from the Wehr officer really.

CS doesn't need to be 1 man, same as above. They are different from other factions for flavour reasons. The game would be boring if every faction had the same things.

-isn't really a valid point. Soviets would surely have men equipped for anti-vehicle duties. Tank Hunters are rubbish at long range, or against front armour. They are very strong and useful up close, or when hitting the rear of a vehicle. Use them to support other AT, or use the Strelky VPGS nade to stun vehicles to run THs up close.

How do you know what many players do? I think these sounds are fine myself.

PTRDs are fine. You are not using them correctly for their intended purpose.

Got numbers and proof it is too fast? Or just guessing?

Red Tide is specifically set out to be a midgame power to boost your strength. Its use is comparable to arty etc. but in a different way. Units that cost MP are OPTIONS because you either spend MP on the callin, or on a non-doc unit. Red Tide provides infantry at a muni cost to really emphasise the infantry spam; you can still get non-doc units or NI/kats with your MP. It is more comparable to MP Blitz than a callin, except that you don't get to choose what to spend it on.

Kats aren't comparable to a Calliope at all. They only shoot a fraction of the rockets and their value was calculated many patches ago based on the number of rockets. They are also far easier to kill than Callies and can't be replaced by AWM.

Unless you are willing to do the voices and sound effects for the mod, there's not much point asking about it. It takes a huge amount of work and doesn't add all that much to the game. The Russian voices feels more appropriate to some people anyway (including myself) for authenticity and the game is easily playable without the notifications in English.

SOVIET FIREBASE HAS UNLIMITED RANGE!! I MEAN IT! its not just little longer than american 105m howitzer.

Forget About Casualty Medics. I Think Medic Trucks Should Be Removed. But Ingenery Should Be Able Build Medic Tents, Which Can heal Nearby Units Like American Triage Center.

Observer Is A Combatant Unit Which Can Call in Artillery! And Observers Are Very Cheap!  This is too much I Think!  Officers Are Non-Combatant & Can Be Killed Easily.

It Would Be Nice If We Had A Separate Major Unit Like wehrmacht Officers which would provide passive abilities to units And The Majors Abilities wont Be Locked Until veterency.. The Command Squad Itself Is A Very Strong Unit And Can Be Summoned At The Start Of The Game. I dont like this at all, Balance comes first always

Whats wrong with this? It has some nice advantages over scouting units using LoS. The flare not only reveals a decent sized area, but reveals everything in it (Which is very useful).

Sounds like you have not used the M2 Howitzer to much, and the Soviet firebase is terribly inaccurate compared to the M2 (Which to compensate for, it has a slightly longer range).

220MP for a 2 man squad that kinda sucks in combat is not cheap. Not only is it not a combat unit, but I would debate to consider it good at combat at all! Officer's are no-combatant? Soviet officers where thrown in to the front line very often, so this is just representing that fact. Not to mention the officer squad is an important early game unit, you would just have conscripts fighting PG or Volks. That just would not work, so the officer comes in to provide much needed "skilled" infantry for soviet early game.

Why? Another useless unit that nobody in MP is going to build? By having him in a powerful squad it greatly improves the soviet officers late game usage over the wermacht officer.

Trust me having Soviet union without them is awful, their is no soft AT and you are stuck using AT guns. They have been removed before, buffed,  and nerfed. But having a soft AT for the soviets is needed.

It Seems I Have Stormed The Forums With Half-Knowledge. I Need To Play More It Seems..

I Need A Unit That Has A Passive Ability To Spot Camo Units So That I Dont Have Use Abilities Everytime.

I have Used The Howitzers Very Much, And It Is Terribly Inaccurate too.. in fact all in-map artillery are inaccurate. But M2 has a max range too.. but i must agree i havent used the soviet firebase much.. but I saw it had LoS which covered whole map.. unlike others..    still I'll play more & see...

acctually my observer team killed an enemy pioneer.. so i assume its good in combat..... but I will play more & see... German Officers Are Non-Combatants they only carry a walther-p48 pistol

I Like officers & captains I Build Them.. they are not useless.. they provide passive abilities to infantry... but I see your point....

Actually To Listen Carefully To The Weapon Sound I used my Crappy  :P Headphones... I'll Listen To Them in My Speakers Then... sorry for bothering  :P

All Faction's Elite Infantry (except Panzer Elite) Have AT Guns... so I was wondering If Guards Would have them too then.... just a minor suggestion..

I learn More about the shrafnie troops.....

welcome in our forum and thx for your suggestions :D

most of them are already fixed in the inernal / ostheer beta version
like a jeep unit
the spotter team is indeed not the best unit to counter snipers/cloaked units
thats why we added the gaz43 which is a kind of jeep scout unit
spotter will be the reward unit for the gaz43 because there are still a lot ppl who like the spotter :D

we also fixed the lack of inf at possibilitys in the internal version

soviet howitzer was moved into propaganda doctrin and will be unlocked together with the obr emplacement

tankhunters are removed and we added a at weapon for strelky

soviet outpost was also tweaked
now it costs 200mp like every op and can be upgraded for 50mun so you can garrison it and reinforce at the front

i realy looking forward to see it :D

I was wondering someone might say this.  ;D  I agree with you TheVole  But  EA sure knows how to make people throw throw their money at them. EA is a bad developer but a good publisher , they know how to make money And Suck People In ....  ;)  (EA got me too, I bought BF3 Premium  :P )

,Recently they've turned CnC Generals 2 into A Free To Play (Full Of Micro-transaction) Piece of crap. why is EA so money hungry? 
I wanted CnC generals 2 so badly but I don't want it anymore now.
They're turning such a good RTS into crap. dammit

Don't worry their dismantled in a year. This has not been pulbicly stated, but an EA employee wrote a long article about it and why EA was failing on /v/. He even sound recordings of EA's CEO stating this, I did not listen to all of it as the clip was about 1:20 mins, but you got the gist within the first 10mins.

For once I'm glad that a company will get dismantled, but what happens to the golden poo's they have been awarded?

Many units have greater firing lines than LOS... even in VCOH.

Mortar
AT
Sniper
Flack88 (duh)
brit LT, and this is an insane amount quite frankly.

Replay or never happened ;).

Of course they can't fire in fog of war unless the unit is revealed, then that aforementioned unit is no longer concealed and even appears on the map. A Flak 88 CAN shoot on fog of war if an unit is revealed there or if you use attack ground. Same for the sniper and it would be a bug if you would find an attack ground button on snipers.

Ash D, Sorry my explanation was not clear, I said greater than LOS with units, so sniper's could potentially fire THOUGH the fog (and they can have ground units spot for them)...

Does marking/spotting a target remove fog of war on a unit?
