Can play as soviets in OF with 2.700 ! IMPORTANT!

I know that the issue of not being able to play as soviets  has already been brought up but here is what I encountered.

At first I installed EF into the steamapps/common/Company of Heroes Relaunch,that is the new steam version. The game would have the vCOH Wehrmacht and US faction unlocked as well as the PE and commonwealth of OF . The Soviets were in the allies faction list but I couldn't select them. When I played skirmish with the available factions,I had numerous crashes even on low settings(not TEMP issue,simple crash to desktop).

Later on I realized that OF is actually  installed in another folder steamapps/common/company of heroes
When I installed the EF into that folder and updated it, I got the PE ,commonwealth and Soviets available!But not the Wehrmacht and US. 

Maybe someone else can confirm this?
Also, I reported the issue with locked vCOH campaign to steam support,but received no reply yet. Any solution?

N.B! I did verify game cache already.

Notes: Played a skirmish,Soviets vs PE(normal AI)- got crashed .Real challenge to play as soviet without reading the attached Soviet faction guide. 20 minutes into the game and still playing defensive with infantry and some support weapons on the field. KV-1 being destroyed by panzersrecks and Marders. AI getting weapon upgrades like a boss! Even the luftwaffe ground forces scored some kills on my infantry.

 In addition I stumbled across one thing: Soviet tank riders were in the commander tree but upon unlocking them, I didn't get to call them in. were they disabled?

If you own OF you don't have access to US & WH and the Normandy campaign that comes on vCoH and also you don't have access to the new campaigns featured in ToV and it's reward units. If the new CoH version allows you to use all of that it is a bug on the new version... unless they have announced than in the new version everything would be unlocked regardless of what version they have bought.

About the tank riders, it was changed like two big patches ago IIRC. It was added in the changelog as well.

Probably I failed to give a clear explanation  Obviously I wasn't expecting to get ToV units and campaigns unlocked without purchasing the expansion. Dah.

1. I was saying that I own both vCOH and OF.
2.A . when I install EF mod into new steam version folder and launch it , I get vCOH and OF campaigns and factions unlocked  and SOVIETS are unlocked,but can't be selected
2.B when I install EF mod into new steam version folder and play either of wehrmacht,US,commonwealth or PE, my game crashes after about 10-15 minutes on any map ,even 1v1 with graphics settings mostly LOW  or MEDIUM.

3. when I install EF mod into the Opposing fronts directory( I really don't know why is it separate), I  get Wehrmacht and US LOcked,as aforementioned. But SOviets are present and playable.

And I was wondering about the source of crashes and the soviets being playable/unplayable depending on the installation folder

1st thing that I see here is 2.7 
and on 2.7 COH,  EF mod is not working atm.

...But how does it work on OF when installed separately then? Miracle? Magic?

I'm totally cool waiting for the patch guys, just wanted to share this...

Dreamberg,do you think the crashes are also caused by incomatability with 2.700?

2 a) This is known, this problem we have solved internally.
2 b) We know the cause of this, but is yet to be solved, it is b/c of 2.700. Once we solved this we will release a patch for 'new coh'.

3) The "OF" Folder you are talking about is actually version 2.602 of CoH. With the '"Relaunch" is 2.700. 1.0 - 1.3 EF works only with 2.601; 1.4 - 1.7 (current) EF works only with 2.602; We'll release a patch as soon as it's ready for 2.700.
