Ditching
« on: September 11, 2009, 04:53:23 AM »
It seems that when I play and must order a retreat to my units they run full speed back to base.  So why is this not the case with heavy weapons?  I feel that heavy weapons (anti tank guns included) should have the ability to just ditch their weapons right there and run back to base.  These ditched units would be about the same strength as an engineer but without the ability to build structures.  They would be able to be equipped with some rifles giving them just under the strength of a German grenadier squad.

i have read many posts about the mgs and ATguns units.. if you want the unit to retreat, then it will be immortal! for example: the arty is comming and you retreat the unit, then you come back and nothing happend (exept for the AT gun, wich has minor damage). as same is for snipers.. if sniper come, the only thing to do will be just retreating the crew of the stanionary weapon. in my opinion, if that would be possable, it would just ruin coh.

Well you leave your weapon there, so a scout troop could come in and steal it. Now your down a support weapon and have very weak units taking up population. I don't think it would ruin CoH, but im not %100 with it either. I can see problem arising from this
