v1.7.0.2 T34/76 loses to Stug IV

Hey i was playing a Skirmish and my T34's where being destroyed by Stugs. It was a 1v1 fight so it's not like they had more tanks. I'm not sure if its suppose to be better but i lost like 3 tanks and i couldn't do much(because pumas killed my ZiS's) So i didn't know if its suppose to be that way or not, Just wondering.

Your main advantage over a StuG is that the T-34 could circle. IMO the balance is fine between these two units.

Alright, I'm not a balancer so i didn't know :P but i was just wondering if that was what it was suppose to be or not. Thanks for clearing it up

Alright, I'm not a balancer so i didn't know :P but i was just wondering if that was what it was suppose to be or not. Thanks for clearing it up

Well the StuG and the T34 should be roughly balanced in a slug fest front to front with a StuG coming on top slightly but the T-34 needs to utilize it's speed and circle a measly StuG for the good rear shots :)

Yeah at one point i had 2 t34's attacking one stug(with a broken barrel) and the shells bounced off like 7 times before they actually killed it. Must have some tough front armor.

The StuGs are designed to have thicker front armor and a decent gun but terrible rear armor and no turret, therefore they are accessible in T3 since they can't go into combat with tanks 1v1 most of the time. They're there to counter smaller vehicles and to flank-out other tanks with support.

Why does stationary T34/76 achieve hits less often the a stationary StuG? Also does the moving vehicle bonus(?) apply when rotating in place?

t34/76's gun has only about 34% chance to pentritrate the stug.I found this in mod-studio.

StuG have a very high damage against tanks and high front armor. It is also the tank destroyer for Wermacht so in a head -to-head they might not win StuG as well.

T34 can win StuG easily by using run and gun strategy.
