You play the LHS BT doctrine in a heavy tier2 strategy, because you get a heavy tank already as call inn. RHS BT is played by skipping tier2 and going for fast tanks. Both trees have as common strategy a breakthrough theme. It plays very nice and KV1 is my favourite tank so far. If you want a counter for heavy german tanks you can still play SU85, however this is not a BT tank.

I don't understand why people in-game we calling the Ostheer overpowered, I felt in a way they were under-powered, just looking at their infantry getting massacred by Soviet infantry and tank fire. But oh well, maybe I'll have to see for myself when the beta becomes available.

I really like this - support/assault thing.
Every game is differet even if you use the same tier build.

I have one strange, but interesting for me question.
What if I build 2 same buildings ... can I use 1st one for assault units and 2nd one for support units  ;D

you should keep in mind that the ostheer you saw in the broadcast is still the alpha
the most important things which are missing are inf and vehicle vet
and then the main balance (currently we are far away for what is called balanced)
but after we havent showed anything from ostheer for ages we decided to show you the current version :D

no the pools in each tier are global
that means if you build eg t3 two times you will have also 2x the same pool

but you can always switch the pools (which is already cheaper then building the tier 2 times^^)

Alright, makes sense. And I suppose the Ostheer doctrines are going to get more of a description than what we saw in the game? Also, when will the next soviet patch come out?

haha yes the doctrinal units you saw in both games were more or less without any words on them :P
but there were 3 different doctrinal units in the games
