Than this event will take too long. Look at the current map. There is no real progress. If its prolonged by 50%, then players will loose interest.

Hey hey. I say we make a schedule of what times we are available in the week, Like I did for my last game. This way everyone whos involved in the match can view each others availability it becomes so much easier to plan.
Place the times you can play for each and every day. Just make a weekly schedule. And if this thing extends to 2 weeks. Everyone will shoot themsleves okay, and the only suicides that are supposed to happen is Hitler's suicide once the russians reach berlin.

I think 2 weeks is a bad idea because people inevitably leave it to the last minute anyway and it would take WAAAAAAAAAAY too long to play this out. Assuming Allies win EVERY single game from here on in, it would take us 16 weeks just to get to Berlin.

Better option is force players to post availability straight away using the program you posted. Visually, it's hard for some people to arrange their times. Alternatively we can have semi-fixed timeslots for games. So block 1 is a certain time in the day, block 2 a certain time etc. Some people find it too hard adjusting for timezones so if they know what block to play it would perhaps be easier.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

I completely agree to this. If you prolong the time per round it wont fix the problem, it will only make the tourney look idle for 1/1/2 weeks and then it'll be just like now.

Forcing games to play 3 rounds of CoH within 3 days should be possible for everybody srsly, even if you're busy with stuff. It's like 2 hours MAXIMUM once peer week.  And even if you cannot play, there should still be reserves that can be ordered. If you dont have time on all 3 days just dont participate in the week's battles.

If someone cannot play on a sunday, the games can still be played on a saturday or friday. Also we need some sort of easy chat system imo to quickly organize stuff. We could setup a basic chatserver like tinychat which would need to be run on friday - sunday.
Also a GMT calculator for everybody having problems calculating his timezone:
http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/
Just choose your city (or one which is near your location) in the first dialog and watch your time in gmt+X.

Abuse is abuse and has to go.

Well, Doodle.com already takes into account your timezones, so GMT.com seems redundant.

However, I can invest look into a chat system seeing as the EF launcher chat is not as utilitarian and not everyone likes mumble/has a mic.

I think the general consensus is not to extend game time, therefore, I will not extend it.
