Veterancy stats for Russains?
« on: November 21, 2011, 03:00:00 AM »
I understand it might be hard (or impossible) to input the Russian veterancy stats, but my question is am i the only one who can't see them/ glitches at zero?

it's not really a problem, but I do sometimes like to know just how well I ranked my units, or maybe how they rank.

and as a side question, anyone think veterancy is/is not a word? I'm not entirely sure...

thanks.

Russians can gain veterancy. Im not sure if that answers your Q cause I don't really understand your Q :-\. It's just conscripts can't.

And veterancy is a real word. A veteren is someone who is experienced. So a vertern soldier is someone who has seen combat b4.

For your first question; its is impossible to add ranks to the Soviets as things stand because for the time being Relic is not allowing that to happen. Until Relic decides to be really nice to people there will be a lot of things we will be officially unable to do. The veterancy pictures exist its just Relic online has no way of properly applying them because the Soviet faction isn't a Relic faction and thus has no support for this feature. By the way it's not like we haven't asked Relic to assist us, they just won't do it cause they gain nothing out of it other than our respect and that's not a currency (unfortunately)

Fish you mean a veteran. Veterancy is itself not an official word in the English dictionary. It doesn't have any official use outside of video games. Soldiers don't gain veterancy in real life, they gain skillz O0

Hmmmm. Maybe Webster will make veterancy an offical word next year. After all they add like 50 words a year ;D.
Yeah the EF team can't change several things like the picture at the end when you win or lose, the ranks for online, and some other thingys I can't remember right now :P

The dev team are looking into possible solutions for Soviet and Ostheer ranks. As for actual vet stats, after the release of the next patch I will put out a spreadsheet that contains the vet bonuses of every unit in the game.
If you get into an argument with me, you're wrong.

Lots of stuff has changed again in 1.6 so Cranial's guide is out of date. It was also delayed in the first place for reasons unknown to me. It will probably be re-released after the next patch with the updated info. Cranial's guide doesn't contain actual stats or vet bonuses either I believe and is more in line with the manuals for vCoH, mostly containing faction info and unit purposes/how to use them.

That's actually a good idea, I estimate 80%-90% players of EF being "for fun-players", so the majority couln't do anything with sheer numbers and stats.

Lemberg - Baraque de Fraiture - Smolensk - Heiligenbeil - Nobel Dynamite Works - Lorient - Poltawa

Yea, it's meant to quickly describe the units and their function, how you could potentially play them, they upgrades they get, etc. But for some reason it was never published when I handed it off. Now I have to rewrite on a new program when I have time :/
