Simple Staghound question

May I ask why the staghound car is missing its sandbag upgrade and phosporous rounds :o?

The stag is 2 separate units in CoH. There is the stag used by the Brits and RMC that is healthier and has an MG upgrade and there is the T17 used by the US that has sandbags at vet 1 and the phosphorous ability.

May i ask what purpose the sandbags serve (including those on the Sherman with secondary gunner, etc.)?

They were used as a second armour... It's like your tank is standing behind a sandbag wall. AP rounds had to penetrate the sandbags first and then the armour.

It's just a visual change on the Sherman. On the Stag, it just shows that the vet 1 health bonus is in effect.
