It is a matter of input language (should be it). To make absolutely sure it is, delete all input languages except english (you can restore it any time anyway), and try again.

You can press Alt+Enter when arriving to that screen, allowing coh to run in windowed mode to make sure the correct layout is set (and to test if the same thing happens).
