Dont have option to save shortcut to desktop

I have downloaded the expansion from the eastern front mod websote twice now but at every step i payed attention and i had no option to save a shortcut to my desktop. I have tried searching all files and folders on my hard drive and nothing comes up except an uninstall and language folders. what the hell?

Did you download it from ModDB or another site?

Are you sure that EF_Launcher.exe isn't located on CoH folder?

Could you post an screenshot of your CoH directory?

I copied the file location and it was in my CoH folder, if I knew anything about computers i would feel stupid. It works and if we weren't seperated by an unknown amount of internet, i would kiss you (no homo)

A pop up comes up that says, Unable to locate "EF_LauncherData\Languages.ini"
I ignore it and up comes the EF launcher screen but with no words in any of the selections like check for updates, help, language, etc.
I've tried uninstalling after the first time and the reinstall was exactly the same. beats me.

Do you know if the Languages.ini is at that directory?

Could you check EF registry entry (start menu->run->regedit),:

32 bits OS

Export it (right click on the folder->export) and paste it's content here. Also, what .NET Framework do you have installed? Do you know if you pc has Microsoft visual c++ 2005 and 2008 redistributable packages?

by some miracle it works. it is up to date and and has all the english in the correct boxes. instead of suggesting all that technical mumbo jumbo you outta try punchin er a few times.
