Audio/sound suggestions
« on: August 08, 2010, 08:52:49 PM »
I know that those russian voices form the mod are just from the russian version from original CoH. I don't like it when for example after clicking on russian T -34 I hear: "Sherman gotovy" which means "Sherman ready". It's not Sherman but T-34. My suggestion is to instead of these voices use russian voices from different game - Blitzkrieg. They are pretty good!

My second suggestion is to use real Stalin's voice in "Stalin's speech" power in the third commander's tree (the first power on the left - 1pt use). I reccomend the last sentence in this speech (from 6:42 to 6:45): Stalin speech - November 7, 1941[English subtitles] [nofollow]

EDIT: Maybe don't replace all voices but some of them. Especially those sentences with the words like: sherman, firefly, churchill etc. Otherwise voices are very good!

Thank you for using my suggestions! :)
Best regards,

I agree with you here. Russian is good, I cannot say otherwise. It is also a good opportunity for me to pick up some Russian language and accent (which I'm now studying it on my own) But please do something with the specific names like 'sherman' on T-34 or 'firefly' on the Zveroboy and 'M28' on the Iosif Stalin Tank, it just feels kinda out of place.

It was already discussed and devs think that removing some files would delete those shermans or fireflies.
Stalin's Speech would be grat, but it would fit better if he could speak through the radio -like WH Deff For the Fatherland!

Those sounds with audible English words/phrases have always annoyed me... doesn't make the units seem genuinely Soviet. hehe
