The mod really needs a mandatory update system
« on: February 03, 2010, 02:25:27 AM »
The reason is its cutting down on being able to find games when the filter is on.Other people have older version of EF, when they log on they need to force an update, is this possible>Also can you for people who previously downloaded the mod to now get the updates?

Wow. People are never satisfied... This mod has it's OWN UPDATE SYSTEM. You don't have to go online and look for one! How many other RETAIL games have an update system? Not that many. Not only that but it has a real installer with a splash screen. The highest quality mod I've ever seen.

No, I agree with this, and I've already suggested it.

i think this should be top priority for dev team right now.  doesn't matter what the patches are, if people cant find games it won't matter.

I can not find anybody online anymore.

Are they all stuck in this abyss? Or do the refuse to update because the realease was too OP for the Russians so all they want to do is win.

Maybe they're waiting for they next patch? Butt why?

So much has changed in the last patch, that you need to play alot more games in order to make a suggestion/judgement.

...but you can set a parameter in the new launcher (on one of the tabs to the right) that checks to see if the mod is fully update to date compared to the latest patch - it does this as the launcher starts up automatically (if the option is toggled to ON).

I had the same problem when patch 1.04 came out but realised checking this box would fix future problems like that - suggest mods just make people aware that this option exists and ask them to set it accordingly or release next version of the launcher with this option checked by default.

In all fairness the guys developing this mod have really gone out of thier way to address problems - they're doing a damn fine job in my opinion - keep up the good work.
