Graphic Issues?
« on: January 25, 2010, 08:48:50 AM »
Hey guys just wondering if anyone else is having any probs with some of the maps bogging down your performance. I dont have a GREAT card. I only have a radeon 3850. But still, on the original game i can run it almost full settings 1680-1050 res and it never skips a beat. But on EF , i even brought it down to 1440-900 and put all settings to medium or low, and the screen still burps as i scan across the landscape. And im not talking Minor, enough to where it says, Your settings are to high and lagging the game!  i even tried some of the maps in skirmish to rule out the multiplayer aspect of lag and such, and it stilllllll does it. Just updated my drivers and played multiple original coh since to test the differences so i dont believe its my card. never had an issue before. so basically im just asking if anyone else has had the same issues, or if its been brought up earlier in the posts and i didnt see. sorry if thats the case.

Well diffidently I noticed that EF mod is kicking my system in the balls considerably more than the original COH. I believe mainly because they used higher resolution textures in the mod than in the original COH.

If you are not happy with your computer's performance, just get a new one.

I have this same lag problem on my comp and its not like i have a shit comp or anything i can run COH fine on my highest res no problems (1600x1050) but chose to run it lower at (1240x1040 i think cant remeber exact res so i apologise) for better performance, anyway when running a skirmish map even just with only me and a bot the amount of lag i get just moving across the map is insane for what i am doing. when clicking on the mini map to go straight to on place is worse and the drop in FPS is huge. I have one question: Is there going to be a patch to reduce this graphical lag??? ???

system specs:
Windows 7 64Bit
3gb ram
250gts 512mb graphics card (with latest drivers)
intel core 2 duo 3.16 ghz
300gb hdd

try to knock down some settings
(AA, shadows, effects, etc)
it will make a HUGE increase in FPS
