KV-2 and Tankrider ability, Railgun
« on: January 24, 2010, 09:15:42 PM »
Hi guys,

I think the Kv-2 should change, it should be more like mobile artillerie. Maybe KV-2 should be really an mobile artillerie platform just like the Hummel from Panzer Elite. Or maby the ISU-152 should be made as a Hummel. And the tankrider ability is just ridiculous. 750 MP for a t-34(un-upgraded:S) and a squad of guards?!. Id like to see this changing in just a upgrade, so when you got the upgrade the guards can mount any t-34(upgraded or not), So you dont pay for a single t-34 and a squad of guards, so it will affect all t-34. My last idea is Off-map Arty like the Railgun on propaganda strategy instead of "God of war". 5-6 rounds of this massive gun should do the trick.
Hope you like my idea's.

Soviets didnt use railguns.
Firebase, Katiusha and heavy mortars have allready too much firepower. Even more than RCArti. No moblile arti is needed to soviets.
KV-2 is just like a StuH or Churchill AVRE a bunker killer.
Russian tankriders cant reinforce. Thats why their so cheap. Just like kangaroos.

They did use some railguns but only 3 converted off a sunken battle ship and that is nothing compared to the germans many hundreds of much more powerful guns. Still KV-2s are bunker busters in real life they had a hard time getting the right angle to shoot like arty anyway because it was hand cranked and the massive breech got in the way. ISU-152s in no way shape or form should be confused with artillery, the guns origins may have been naval but the low slung chassis yet again does not give enough elevation and from the start was designed as a tank hunter anyway. Back to the railguns, even if the Russians had any in sufficient spread across the massive border to for 6 rounds would most likely mean at least 1min a round usually much much more so if you want a power that "fires" for the whole match and is so sporadic and inaccurate you kill yourself, your enemies, and your friends? MAYBE? I would rather have GoW.
