Trouble getting game to launch

Hi there, I installed this mod yesterday after hearing good things about and although the installation was fine the game won't launch. So I'll run down the basics of what I have and then what isn't working.

Game: CoH New Steam Version
CoH version: 2.700.2.30
EF version: 2.2.2.0
Directory used: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch
User Type: Administrator/Only user

The issue is that when I get the launcher up and hit "Play" nothing happens, when I first tried it initially opened a window from steam saying it was launching Company of Heroes as it would if I was launching CoH normally but after a short while the window closed and the game never launched. I came to the forums looking for a solution and after some time checking and re-checking my directory and game versions I moved on to setting the launcher to run as administrator and now when I press "Play" on the Launcher nothing happens at all, not even the steam window I previously got telling me it was trying to launch the game.

I have not tried reinstalling EF yet as I was hoping someone here might have a solution that would avoid the re installation process, so any thoughts on what's wrong?

From that description I wouldn't know what could be the problem. But make sure the EF launcher, FactionFix.dll and Eastern_Front folder and module files are in that directory you used to install it. Also, check in the launcher settings if your CoH Directory option has the right path, otherwise change it.

Currently the parts you mentioned are in a folder named "Company of Heroes" within the "Company of Heroes Relaunch" folder. I assumed that the launcher and such were meant to be in there as that folder was created by the installer, is that correct or should I move those parts into the main "Company of Heroes Relaunch" folder?

Also the "Company of heroes Relaunch" folder is the one selected in the launchers directory settings

That's why it doesn't run. It needs to be installed in Company of Heroes Relaunch and not in any other selfmade folder. You will need to uninstall it and reinstall it in the correct path.

A clean install of EF seems to have fixed it, although the files are installed in exactly the same place so I'm not sure what the problem was before.
