Skins/Textures
« on: December 16, 2013, 09:52:16 AM »
Dear, Eastern Front developers.
First of all I would like to thank you for your amazing work on this mod.
It is great, well balanced and fun to play.I'm really proud of you guys.
Secondly, I am waiting for new upcoming updates, and will keep showing support for vCoH ,and this mod.
Now...Here is my problem. I am very picky guy and I always want everything to look and be perfect. Recently I started to play vCoH once again, been playing it for very long time. Since there is CoH 2 already out, and I'm staying with this game, I want this game to look better then it used to, no more pale skins , textures and so on. Better textures, better sounds. I replaced Ww2Art.sga which I've been using for my skins, with random tank variations, I did it with Corsix. Everything works fine in vCoH and it did on Eastern Front mod. I think because I installed EF for the first time and was using modified WW2Art.sga file. I played for several games online, decideded to modify some things. Then replaced WW2Art.sga file once again. Everything works online on vCoH , but on EF me, and my mates get problems. Like, "You have been invited but cannot join". So, my question to you is, how do I make EF work with this new skin pack. I know there is a way, because previous one worked just fine. And there is small changes to that... If any of you can help me, please reply.

IIRC as long as you don't modifiy attribs files you will be fine. Is there a way you can try the old WW2Art.sga and check if you can play with your comrades?

Anyway, I was hoping there is some kind of log file for errors, so i can just find problem myself or so. I can create IRCC and also I can post WW2Art.sga if u want to check it, I kinda don't want to remove some things...Just trying to figure out...

I don't usually mess with these kind of problems, so I don't know what to do with that log. In other hand if I could try myself the WW2Art files(before and after), then I could sing a different song.

But the files are huge so I don't think that's a good idea.
