Setup error while installing EF for CoH new Steam version
« on: April 17, 2013, 10:11:04 PM »
I just installed the new Steam version of CoH so I had to go back and setup the EF mod in the new folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch). During the installation a message popped up and it said there's an error while opening files for writing. I even ran the setup program as admin but that didn't work. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Yeah, everyone gets it. Don't bother with EF for steam CoH though, it's broken.

We have to wait for Relic to patch this themselves for custom factions.

The new CoH is not supported by EF yet, however I am interested in more details in this error for future support.

Which file(s) did it fail to open?
