I love the idea of making my own map, yet I don't know really how to map. Are there any guides on how to make maps, and if so, where can I learn these skills. I have some lovely map ideas, but I don't know how to map.

You can always fool around. Thats what I did. And I managed to get an operational map going with lots of donkeyfaust everywhere :3 (though it kinda sucks  aesthetically wise XD)
