I'm sure I ran Arma II on full graphics last time I had it installed, no NASA PC here, although it could do with a motherboard upgrade and a shiny new processor.

ARMA2 just needs an up-to-date PC. My comp is old (video card is the newest thing and I got it for around $50) and I can play it on "reasonable" graphics. I say "reasonable" because it is extremely tough to play on anything but top graphics.

So my PC will run it easily...I wrote that because I heard a lot of complaints about ArmA II requirements.

There are quite a few bugs with the Arma 2 Engine, such as bugged ladders (You will fall off ladders when you climb them with your sidearm out and eventually die).
The requirements aren't that tough, it's just that the Arma 2 engine just uses the CPU more than the GPU (much like Skyrim). Turning off VSync will help increase performance alot when you play Arma 2.

Yeah, I got this game today and it's extremely buggy... maybe more so than ARMA... I can't even complete the 4th Soviet mission because the mission refuses to progress one I've completed the objective. Tried to play Multiplayer, couldn't connect and CTD. So, £18 well spent I think ::) Hopefully they'll have an update soon...  unless the company goes under before they can do anything about it.

On the positive side, it is a good game when it works properly... it's problem is it doesn't work properly consistently.

Not sure, uninstalled it because I was running out of space on my C drive. I might reinstall and see if there's any updates since I got a new external a few weeks back, not exactly holding my breath though.

I need to turn off my Anti-Virus to get it to work... NOD seems to think the exe contains a virus and quarantines it as soon as it's detected. From that alone I got the feeling I'd wasted my money :P

edit -

Seems they have updated the game as it's corrupted all my saves with 'Incompatible Version'...

edit edit -

Patch hasn't seemed to do anything. Game won't progress me further than the grenade throwing part of the German tutorial. I mean, holy shit... ::)

One massive MASSIVE crit I have of this game, besides the unbelievable buggyness, is the tutorials you have to do for each Army is woven into the fabric of the singleplayer, so you're forced to complete the tutorial TWICE (once for Germans, once for Soviets)... why the fuck could they not separate the tutorial out of the main game? I want to at least kill something before I grow tired of the buggy-ass tutorial missions. Uninstalling again anyway, game gives me a headache.
