Everyone talks about how good it is.

I tried it once and all i noticed was alot of units added that has the same roles but look different and have different dmg stats.
In the end it seemed like all the factions have the same units since all factions got too many of them.

PE got flamethrower builders just like Wehr. And they got PAKs like wehr, healtrucks like all the other factions.

To me it only seems like a big "sell the look" type of MOD. Lot's of models and a bunch of random units which removed all uniqueness to the factions.


SO... Whats the deal? Is there any large changes to the mechanics? New tactics? Something awesome? :O
OR! is it just a bunch of, add-more to make kids think it's cool! Add another tiger with new skin with the same stats, kids will fall for it.

Please tell me what it is all about. I don't get it. I must have missed something big!

I don't mean to be mean here, concerning the BK Mod team members are kind of our work mates, but you Monos have really got the gist of BK  ;D

 :-\ I almost hoped it would be something more to it. Except just brainwashed kids who use infinite resourse trainers and think it's fun to make 10 different types og AT guns as allies.

BK mod has a lot of potential, but frankly to make it balanced and more playable it should be remade totally - units, abilities, doctrines, absolutely all.

IDK why people say BK mod is very balanced. I just LOL :P. IMO its mainly a mod to look at a bunch of units mosh pitting into one small area. I mean it can be fun and then it can get retarded. There is not uniqueness to factions. Everyone one has everything and squads are huge (IDK even know what to do with recon squads). And everyone can make trenches, making for some extremely campy games. And its suppose to be "realistic dmg" but IMO its kinda "wack"

And this is irrelevant but BK reminds me of Burger King :P

this is actually what  a lot of mods are. people just want to mess with the mechanics of the game, and see what a massive army they can make, make a youtube video of it, and move on. usually, people mess with them for a while, get bored, and return to competitive play. BK mod is a case of people not following the last step. however, there are good mods out there, such as this, MC, TGW, so on and so forth, continue with every game ever, etc, which show the true value in modding. +fun.

Note however that these mods have not actually come out yet :P (well MC comes out 2mmrw). So only time can tell ;)

I have been waiting for quite some tiime for MC, now I am refreshing their Moddb page every half an hour.

Don't do it ;). Packing up will start soon, probably after 10 am GMT +1. Dunno how long it will take and remember that you have to also download ~1.5gb of game :).

BK:

The mod itself is good. One thing makes it better than EF, always i can find there PvsP or PvsAi games, not too much. In EF what you can find? Always comp stomps, to play true PvsP you need people (friend) and of course they need also a time.

I have played BK-mod for a while, and its not "just" a bunch of units and alle fations are not the same.

There is a lot of different units and such, and in the first place most factions look like the same, if one doesn't choose a doctrine. One of the really nice things about BK mod is the doctrines. They are huge and is very unique, and will determinate what units you have avaible instead of just 2-3 callins.

BK mod is aiming for team games - meaning 3v3-PvP. There are a bunch of different units, that do a different job in each doctrine and people need to support each other, which makes the game fun. You guys should try to play a 3v3 game, on a huge map - then you would see the potential!

 The biggest problem at the moment, is that most computers can't handle it b/c the good graphics and many units.


So playing BK-mod as you would play vCoH, eastern front or MC will make it a bad experience!

I just wanted to put in my 2 cents if thats ok  :D i like the new units(mostly) like all the choices for the luftwaffe. But i feel it lacks structure, like everyone else kind of said its just a blob of new units.IMO look cool but don't feel right. Like there are too many choices to pick from and too many units. If it was more like other great mods such as MC or EF it would be better. That what i think  ;D

Yeah, the damage system is cool, but I always feel a bit overwhelmed.

As though units are totally interchangeable, not like vCoH or mods like this one where every unit fulfils a unique role.
