Ju-87 "Stuka" attacks?
« on: August 31, 2009, 12:44:36 AM »
Why have they not introduced the Stuka into COH yet? Instead they give us this He.129 in the main COH games instead of the famous Ju-87 "Stuka", I think they should include the Stuka in Eastern Front in a doctrine, and give you options like anti tank run (When the aircraft is armed with two 37mm cannons), a Strafing run with machine guns and a dive bomb attack.
The death of one man is a tragedy.  The death of millions is a statistic.  ~Joe Stalin, comment to Churchill at Potsdam, 1945

Well coh is set in and after overlord, and considering that the hs129 was more common then, they decided to choose it over the Stuka...

Eastern Front is set over no particular time period in the Second World War, such to accomodate a variety of interesting units and potential battles.

If I remember correctly, the Hs129's portrayed in CoH have the 75mm nose cannons in which only a small handful were actually equipped with (more common was the 50mm) and the engines were underpowered to boot.  BF-110Gs and Me-410s were more common for ground attacking.
