TigerII in movie
« on: July 05, 2011, 11:55:17 PM »
Just got a mindgasm :D by stumbling over a very good WW2 movie "La neige et le Feu" from 1991. In this movie they have the only running TigerII in the world (from Saumur tank museum) in action. Na this is no joke!  :o

of course there are other original vehicles too

I skipped all the useless emotional and erotic scenes (crazy french :P) and enjoyed the battle scenes  ;D.
Watching this reminds how very very bad enemy at the gates and other hollywood and russian crap movies are (of course there are a few good ones)

What can you expect: TigerII, Panther, many shermans, unidentified tank destroyers, Panzerwerfer 42 , historical civil vehicles, ect.

Note: In the first picture you see a panther behind the tiger

That matters not!

Important thing about this movie is that it features a real tiger tank! Strange thing is that youtube instantly banned my uploaded short video clips and there is no video on youtube about this movie. It isn´t even released on DVD yet.

When shooting this movie the tiger had to be moved from the museum using a special carrier that itself was captured during war in france.

Out of wikipedia about free french forces:

"By September 1944, the Free French forces stood at 550,000 (including 195,000 French from North-Africa and 295,000 Maghrebis). This number rose to 1 million by the end of the year. French forces were fighting in Alsace, the Alps, and Brittany. In May 1945, by the end of the war in Europe, the Free French forces comprised 1,300,000 personnel, and included seven infantry divisions and three armored divisions fighting in Germany making it the fourth allied army in Europe behind the Soviet Union, the U.S. and Britain. The French offered to send a division to the Pacific to help fight the Japanese toward the end of the war, but it ended before they could be sent."

Hee hee, you can cover some of those countries on your world map with your thumb, Hitler probably lost WW2 because of that:

I think Alsace doesent say so much to ww2 people than Elsass. How the french got from there to Ardennes, is still a mystery :D

Try mirroring your video's. I dont think youtube can remove them then.

How i do that?

If a video has footage or sounds that are protected than it gets removed sooner or later.
