hey, just wondering, how much does this cost. my friend has it for free but i dont know how?

Well the newest version of 3ds Max which is 3ds Max 2009 costs $3400 and you can purchase it at http://www.Autodesk.com

I am no expert on 3D modelling software, but perhaps you could use cheaper programs (I hear Blender is a good one) with a 3DS plugin, so you can save the file as if it was made on 3DS max.

yeah sorry, i only asking, cos i know somebody that does, and i didnt know what to do, so i wont use it anyway
