update/uploader problems

whenever i click the "check for updates" button on the launcher a windows error pops up "eastern front launcher has stop working" and forces me to close out im stuck on the 1.1 update and cannot figure out how to get the updater to work or where to manually download the 1.11 patch
help on how i can get the updater to work correctly?

Could you post EF_Launcher_log.txt from your Company of Heroes Directory?

Mine says that the connected party failed to properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond. I downloaded the game in early may, and have been unable to get any update. Whats the problem and what have I missed?
I would greatly appreciate advice, a solution, etc.
