EF won't start

For some reason or other, every time i try to start EF, it won't even start the game. i press start on the launcher, and within a few seconds, i get an error report that CoH has crashed.

I am patched up to 2.601 and my system specs have handled N44 on high quality, so im not sure what is happening

Bump. I have a similar problem. If this helps, I've uninstalled EF, installed it and tried playing before installing each patch, and every time it crashes at the start and Relic suggests I send an error report.

Please post warnings.log from Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes right AFTER you get a crash.

Hi,

me, too. I can not start the game. When executing the launcher a .Net System.Security.SecurityException is thrown at the very beginning even before any form opens.

I assume this issue is linked to my NAS. COH and you MOD is installed on my local desktop pc. My "own documents folder" containing the logs etc. is located on the NAS.

I lowered .NET permission sets from the Internet and Intranet-Zone, but without success.

Any idea what else to do?

P.S.: No logs added because when I watched these, nothing about the tried start was written inside.
Post Merge: January 31, 2010, 02:54:49 PMOK, I solved my problem by lowering the permission set for the my_computer_zone codegroup from everything to fulltrust.

Now the launcher starts properly and the mod is able to run.

But I don't know why I need to lower my security-settings to this minimum?

You got a file called "MyMod.English.ucs" in CoH/Engine/local/english, which is wrongly installed (should be in MyMod/Local/English). Either move it, or delete it.
