I have CoH: tales of valors 2.602. When I start the eastern front launcher, click on "Play" box; nothing happens after that.

I have tried 4 times now to install the 2.3.0.0 patch. It always says there is no valid file extension. It doesn't unzip/install. It is frustrating since majorpain and I used to love this mod. Can anybody explain us older folks how to proceed step by step so that we can play this mod in Steam. We have currently switched for some time to CoH2. Thanks.

The mistake it seems you have been repeating is that if 1 download link doesn't work, you continue to use it instead of trying one of the mirrors. I recommend using a mirror and installing the game just as usual.

Thanks Blackbishop, but its a 001 File. I don't know how to open them. Windows always says that it can not recognize this files.

Do you have winrar? I think you can extract the files if you have it just open the file #1 with it and drag&drop the installer somewhere.

Just for the record, I used 7z to split the files.
