Red Army veterancy
« on: February 19, 2014, 05:30:35 PM »
Hello, I've got a few questions about the soviet vet. Is it identical to the US one? If not, what are exact bonuses for each vet level for the infantry? Snipers and Sniper Aces? Weapon teams? Tanks? Also,  what kind of bonuses does a vetted Command squad give to units after selecting defensive or offensive bonus? Thanks in advance.

No, veterancy bonuses are entirely different from the USA veterancy. In general: Soviets receive less bonuses by default than USA, but therefor they get quicker access to veterancy overall. It takes them roughly 20~25% less time to get to vet 3 than USA.

About the actual bonuses (note: the bonuses are taken from the internal testing version, so they're not 100% accurate for the current retail version. But most stuff fits)
Have fun reading ;)

Soviet veterancy sheet:

Infantry

Cons & partisans(6/14/22xp):
vet 1: -3mp reinforce/20% less reload time (7xp)/+25% capture speed / -25% rec. damage when in cover (cons) /+4m range for molotovs/krak nades
vet 2: max health +10%/ accuracy +10% /20% less rec. supression / +4m range for molotovs/krak nades (16xp)
vet 3: rec accuracy -25% /+20% accuracy (26xp)

Strelky(8/14/28):
vet 1: received accuracy -15% / reload weapon -20% / weapon supression +10% (8xp)
vet 2: max health +10% / accuracy + 15% / weapon supression  +10% (14xp)
vet 3: damage +20% / cooldown -30% / weapon supression +10% (28xp)

Guards and navals(8/17/36):
vet 1: weapon damage +20% / reload -20% / received supression -25% (10xp)
vet 2: weapon range + 15%  / accuracy +15% / received supression -25% (20xp)
vet 3: +1 squadmember / weapon penetration + 25% / received supression -25% (36xp)

Soviet command squad(9/18/36):
vet 1: +20% sight range  +10% max health
vet 2: -20% rec acc. / -25% rec. supression
vet 3: max health + 10% /  increases manpower income by 5% (~15mp/min), ammo income by 10% (~5 mun/min in a normal match), fuel income by 5% (~3f/min)

Offensive: -15%/23%/31% rec. supression, +15/26/39% multiplier to capping speed
defensive: -10%/15%/19% rec. acc/-5/-10%/-14% rec. damage in light/heavy cover
(this is different from retail version. On retail it grants +10%/15%/20% more weapon damage(off) or -10%/-15%/-20% received damage (def).
With mixed vet you get a mixture of both. e.g. +10% weapon damage with vet 1 offensive and -10% rec acc for vet 2+3 defensive)

Oh, absolutely marvelous, thank you :D I was looking for this for so long. One more thing just to be precise, are snipers and sniper aces classified as support weapons in this chart?

Np, you're welcome ;)

Snipers utilize their own veterancy. But it isn't entirely finished at this point, that's why I didn't include it. In the current  release version they do not get great combat boni, though.
Artillery Spotters get support weapons veterancy in a slightly altered version to fit their role as anti-cover units and spotting for artillery.

Abuse is abuse and has to go.

Yes indeed very neat sheet, thanks for that. Is there something similar elaborate for the Ostheer?
