Bugs & Tech Support / Launcher will not "update"

Hello :) I tried to update to 1.6 through the launcher and it just seemed to hang on "checking." I left it for about an hour, nothing happened. So I downloaded the patch from the website, installed and am now running 1.6 fine :) But if I hit check for updates it still hangs and does not "finish" and say "no update available"
Please help :P

I just created a separate folder inside CoH directory named "mods" to keep track of everything :)

Sorry for being a pain...You guys won't remember me ;) But I cycled 3 miles to get to an internet connection and a copy of the mod on launch date as ours was out....
