T-34 in all of its versions. Something so crude and ugly, yet somehow so beautiful that I like it.
Closely followed by Panther, Stug 40 and Jagdpanther.

Suomi KP/-31. The gun that took the idea of PPD and perfected it, the gun that made the russians so envious they had to come up with their PPSH. Suomi, the gun that is regarded the best submachinegun throughout the world by military historians, not by its quantity, but by its quality.

ah man am I realy the only one that thinks that Finnish soldiers are lame? It's a German army i want german soldiers!
They are lame because they stopped the Red Army twice?

Im not to argue, just stating my opinion. I dont think finns in general, not as call-in or as doctrine arent needed unless theres a complete finnish army made, but thats another story then. I just dont think they fit into the mod. Its a nice and lovely idea but quite unnecessary in my eyes. Finns would be cool if they were their own army tho. But how to balance them would be a different thing.

Kinda gives wrong impression if you ask me. Calling in FINNISH TANKS, makes it sound like as if there were loads of finnish tanks that were the best on whatever battlefield they fought on. Even if they are call-in. It still sounds a bit mighty. "Oh no ze finnz are hier!" Finns also bought captured t-34's from germany, which had german commander cupolas installed. Finns didnt have flags on their vehicles, since the finnish swastika was enough to identify friends from foes. Besides, like 90% of times the tank that came by was an enemy.

Finns called both versions of T-34's as Sotka. Pitkäputkinen Sotka is only the literal term which was hardly ever used outside paper reports... In combat they were all called as Sotka since it made no difference to the finns which ones they were, both were nasty...
Finns in COH, as a doctrine or something for ostheer? In deep russia? Are you people mad?? Besides, finns only captured 7 T-34/85's and only a couple of them were actually used against their former owners. Makes no sense give them those.
Most T-34's captured by the finns also had modifications done to them, mainly cosmetical.

Tbh back then years ago when it first started... I was very sceptical and said "well, lets see" and I am darn glad that my scepticism was proven wrong. So many mods have been started, so many mods have died after a while... Glad EF isnt one of them.
I was most excited about the last bit of Info: Some relevant information about our 1.0 release: It can be run with either CoH, OF, ToV, any combination or all of them. It can be used with the steam based installation. We will release EF 1.0 with an auto-installer and a game-launcher, which will also automatically check for updates.
Cant wait for thursday!

What I've understood, EF doesnt affect vanilla COH/OF/TOV at all, only adds the russian stuff to it, otherwise I'd imagine you can mod your vanilla with texture/sound mods as much as you liked... could be wrong thought. Not entirely sure of how everything goes around in COH.

I never knew MrScruff personally, but I have always admired what he had achieved while modding Company of Heroes and especially Eastern Front.
He will be missed by many, by those who were close to him like his friends in this team but also by us who rejoiced by the fruits of his unquestionable talent, skill and passion towards the work he did for everyone to enjoy.
My condolences goes to his family, relatives and friends, both in real life and online.
Truely a great loss.
May You rest in peace now. <Salute>

I'd like to add that the tribute memorial EF team made for him was very touching.

Dont you mean that the one in COD is almost identical to the real deal and not vice versa?
