In fact, a very good defense is offense. (General Patton's line)
I think properly-placed MGs and Mortars might do the job to pin the Ruskies, once they're pinned or busy shooting at your static defense positions, you could flank the attacking force with a platoon of infantry or maybe some 3 PzIVs or Infantry w/Stug III/IV might clear them all out. And on top of that, a swarm of Soviet Infantry can't be defeated just by flanking. Your flanking force might get flanked or pinned in too by Soviet positions behind the Soviets.Ready some troops to attack their lightly-guarded HQ.
