I was just wondering if the bug effecting the Soviets that causes them to stop building regular units and just use call ins only effects the Soviets or if it effects all AI factions, 'cause in my last couple of games against US all the AI does is call in rangers.

Just a quick question.
With the whole Enemy at the gates thing going with the conscripts only having 1 rifle per 2 men, do the weaponless conscripts actually pick up the rifles of the ones who get killed?

Just my two cents.

Something that can't be overlooked is that when Hitler decided to invade the USSR, the maps they used for planning were innacurate. Many of what were shown to be major highways on the map, were little more than barely servicable dirt paths in reality.

Also, the entire invasion was planned to take only 9 weeks. Fighting in winter was not even considered, so when winter rolled around, German soldiers had to resort to scavanging winter clothes from Soviet corpses.

I've read a lot about why upgrades for Russian infantry don't affect already deployed units, but so far I can't really fathom any reasons other than 'that's not how the Russians roll'.
I do understand that if you were to spam conscripts early on and then have the upgrade to NKVD commisar work on them as well, it would be a tad overpowered and that Strelky and Guards simply spawning a new soldier out of nowhere is unrealistic, but I think there could be a compromise.
Instead of just not having upgrades affect already deployed infantry, why can't it be made like the PE increased squad size upgrade?
Just move the already deployed units back to your HQ and reinforce them to add an NKVD commisar, flag bearer or sergeant depending on the unit type.

Would it be at all possible for the Soviet and Ostheer infantry to have some sort of ability that lets them collect a small amount of munitions from each enemy unit they kill?
Obviously it wouldn't be a lot, say, 1-5 munitions for killing an enemy infantry squad/weapon team?

I'm suggesting this because there was a lot of examples of Soviets and Germans using captured weapons, munitions, supplies, even German troops stealing Russian boots.

This could be representative of the real life captured equipment usage, and a possible stand in for the inability to re crew enemy weapons.

It's just a thought, I'd like to see how others view it.

I don't know if this has been discussed before or not, so please bear with me if it has.

Whilst playing as the Soviets against the Wermacht on normal, I was fighting for a strategic point with a full strength, full health comand squad  fighting against a single unit of Volksgrenadiers, fairly early in the game. As I said it was fairly early in the game so the Volksgrenadiers didn't have Mp40s and I doubt they had veterancy yet. The Volksgreandiers were out in the open and my command squad was in heavy cover, yet the the volksgrenadiers butchered my command squad.

Is this something very unusual or has it happened to anyone else? I don't think it is a problem with my patch version because my EF appears to be up to date.

Any solutions would be welcome!
