^ Thats what I was going to say. Plus, this mod looks fantastic. and needs to relate to the world, not just russia, i have had nothing but amazement and respect for the fantastic modders here at EF and I can not think of anything I have looked forward to apart from this mods release. Keep up the amazing work. And UeArtemis, you said in a previous post that the SS did hardly anything but crimes. Well, just to let you know, the NKVD were the exact russian representation of what the SS did. the Waffen SS however, were fantastic soldiers, and would defeat nearly 4 russians to each one of them that died. notice more Russians died at Stalingrad than Germans did. Lets see how that would work in CoH, seeing as the largest pop cap so far is 125 (Blitz Mod) so what, give us 50 Waffen SS Troopers, and you can say goodbye to your army, then give us a Tiger 1, and you can say goodbye to all of your T-34s. Its a game, its not a documentary.
Well i have never quite thought about it in that way, though T34s weren't exactly pieces of junk , but mainly it was do to poor training of the drivers/few radios that lead to there demise. I understand the point made about CoH isn't exactly a realistic game. I am not a modder, don't know how to program, can't skin (color blind), so ultimatly its your mod and regardless of a (yucky ) post war Russian on the "cover" i will still play it. So far all the in game pics i have seen look (as far as i can tell they look correct, but didn't look to hard either) great, i have been really looking forward to this mod and am glad to see it is coming along nicely.

YUCK! Post war Russian! The coats were big, heavy and wool, the ushankas were much less "square", and not so "syntheticy" looking. other than that, the cover looks good. if you need someone to authenticity check, i would be willing to

I just figured i'd post some links to correct ww2 Russian Uniform packages used by re-enactors. These are early war sets http://tridentmilitary.com/Soviet-WW2/early-war-packages.html. These are mid war sets http://tridentmilitary.com/Soviet-WW2/package-deals.html. I would suggest if your are going to have mulitiple russian skins to make one or two in early war and the rest in mid war. they don't all need to have rucksacks and plash-pilatkas (tent halves/rain coat). nor do they all need helmets. One suggestion too would be to make the pants and shirt a different shade of green or kacki. This stuff was made out of different matriels from different factories.

I know a lot about military weaponry, correct uniforms, gear, and ammo from reenacting. Plus i was taught about items that often pass up as WWII russian but are in fact quite fake (or post war). I know a Russian (who taught me what i know) re-enactor and if i don't know he will. How active you think you can be: It all depends but I'd say pretty active. Previous work: (none) Examples of your work: (none) Other notes: I am a Vietnam reenactor, I own a Mosin-Nagont M44 carbine. I'm color blind otherwise I'd be willing to be a skinner.
P.S.I just happened to notice nobody said much about have an in-correct (for basic infantry)mosin nagont in the media section

I'm not very artisitic and i'm colorblind otherwise i could probably do skinning. But if i knew what program you guys used i could try my hand at it. The only thing i've ever used was a skinner that came with the Sims i borrowed from a friend. nothing i made was worth saving when reformat time came round. I also wanted to point out the fact that the mosin nagont you guys have is close to an m38 which would be only used buy scouts, truck drivers, people who needed a carbine. the averae soldier would have more likely had an m91-30. the m91-30 was barrel was about 8 inches longer. like this http://62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinM9130S.htm. the best way to contact me would be e-mail.

One suggestion i would have would be for a squad of 8 Russian infantry to only take 6 population (or perhaps 4) or a T-34 instead of taking 6 or 8 population it would only take 4. I don't know if its possible to do this but thought it sounded good. One other suggestion i would have is allowing the Germans to also recruit slightly modified russian conscripts because the i remember reading about how the SS had some units made of POWs and people in occupied territorys they would often use their own countries weapons and uniforms.. Once i get some proof on the "SS foreign legion" I'll be sure and post it.Also i have thought it would be neat if there was some sort of armoury building that could drop rocket launchers and Degtyarevs for a considerable muntions fee (100 munitions for a rocket launcher instead of the normal 75).
