Let me preface this topic by thanking the developers for bringing us the British factions once again to EF. Really appreciate their hard work.
However, I could not help but notice that when playing in Skirmish mode, on the LYON (4) map in expert and Panzer Elite, the British never fully develop their forces (I am playing the role of the German forces) and the AI sends a periodic and constant stream of Field Support Trucks into German territory only to be met by certain destruction. This pattern continues throughout the game which always ends in a lop sided defeat of the British, by the Germans. Correct me if I am wrong but it would appear that the AI should be sending the British Field Support Trucks to mobilize inside their own territory in order to engage additional forces, skills etc. Is this is a possible glitch in the game? At the expert level, I anticipated much more from the British.

Sounds easy enough but could you walk me through what steps are needed to verify "vanilla COH"? Many thanks!

This morning I tried to launch EF as I have done almost every day since its arrival and it will not open. This is the STEAM version and it has worked flawlessly for as long as I can remember. I went on the STEAM support forum and saw that others were having the same problem along the same timeline. I hate to sound like an idiot but was there an upgrade (British?) that was just performed? I have not made any changes to my system or LAN so its hard to track down the source of the problem. STEAM support was useless btw. Any help would be appreciated.

First and foremost, thanks everyone for responding to my post. I would like to think that I am not completely brain dead when it comes to the hardware side of PC gaming but... I took apart my PC and gave it another thorough cleaning. Sure enough, I had completely missed the caked on dust and debris that was covering the heat sink on the CPU. It was so bad the surface appeared to be smooth metal etc. After blasting it thoroughly with compressed air, I rebooted my rig and yep, it has not crashed since. I guess the answer to some problems can be very unbelievably simple. I may still replace the mother board and CPU with an upgrade but there is no hurry.
Thanks again.

Okay, I have finally had a chance to run COH2 to see what happens and sure enough, the computer shut down after 5 minutes. I don't believe that I have the ability to check temperatures since this is an older alienware PC. How do I know if it is the processor or the RAM?

I have several with water cooling but this one does not have it and I did clean it (or dust it) a month or two ago. Do you suspect overheating of the video card? My thermal control monitors would let me know if I had a heating problem. It seems strange that it shuts down the entire system after five minutes every single time and always on COH. I will try running COH2 and see if the same thing happens. And yes, the 4mb is for the video card.

I have been reading other threads regarding game crashes so forgive me if my topic is old news. I have been playing COH (Steam version) for a long time and about three to four weeks ago, the game not only starting crashing but the computer shuts off. I am running 2.700.2.42 on an Alienware rig with windows 10, I7 chipset with Nvidia video card (4mb) and the video/display settings are not maxed out. This occurs every time I am playing in skirmish mode, regardless of the map or faction I am playing. This crash does not occur under any other scenario. Am I losing my mind? Any ideas on what is causing this and how I can take care of it? I have playing been COH for years and now I cant get more than five minutes before....poof!

This may sound like a silly question, but I am considering an upgrade to Windows 10. Will I have to reinstall COH/EF and/or are there any issues with gameplay with the new OS?

Thanks Enrique'. Do you recommend that I wait for the patch and can you give me some idea as to when the patch will be available?
Please let me know and thanks again for the good news.

After hours of seamless gameplay, something is up with either my version of EF or my PC. While playing Ostheer in either the Kursk or Lyon maps, the game is crashing and posting "Fatal AI Error- Execution Paused". Any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it?

Whenever I try to download and install patch 2.602, windows keeps asking for the program used or needed to open the file. What am I doing wrong? I apologize if this topic has already been covered but I am playing catchup in the installation of the new mod etc. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

EF is up and running with no glitches I am relieved to say. I still cant believe that I missed the initial release of the new mod. Having some trouble getting patch 2.602 downloaded though. Starting a new thread I guess.

Your kidding? That's great to hear. Are the fixes available in a patch etc? I can't believe that I missed this one.

I have tried all day to play EF and apparently the Relic server is down. This, coupled with the frequent system crashes is really getting old. Any updates on what's going on?
