Not enough to compare the units.
Soviets can't retreat, can't recrew, can't build OP.
This is the problem... but not a problem for me:I decided switch to german (only vs soviet) for easy win  ;D

Technically, the command squad can easily overwhelm MG positions that the Wehrmacht put up.

I've noticed with Russians, rather than advancing slowly, I send in Conscripts early on and do whatever I can to impede their advance while I am moving up with the better troops. If it works, naturally, they're weaker than they normally would be, turning it into more of a mop-up operation.

The lack of an MG may seem like a disadvantage, but the Soviets have ways to deal with them. Given, you need either the Command Squad or get the T2 building of theirs and use their artillery mortars against them; but the point being, if you move fast enough, smart enough, and stealthy enough in the beginning, you're probably going to overwhelm them.

the problem is in early game, with only T1 for me and axis.
If MG42 leave alone --> no problem
sniper+volk+MG42 in a cut off point ---> ouch! :'(

If soviets have a Machine Gun, probably could better defend cut off point.

no-recrewing is a relic issue. Just use the search function on the forums.

But the whole no recrewing thing is a big problem. It is verry irritating to see AT guns being sniped. And before you know tanks roll over you and you at gun is still building in you base.

I dont know how others think about it. But I hope that the relic issue will be fixed, so that the soviets can recrew their weapons.

I understood that it refers only for axis weapons, and as written in my copy/paste from this site (see above), suggests that it was a choice of developers.

No recrew is a Relic issue, it has been stated in about 10 threads already <removed offensive wording - WartyX> and no Retreat... um...the russians didn't retreat so it was intended to be like this! no secured resourcing, um ok? there are more then enough NON FUEL consuming units to take on the Wehr or PE and Ammo is only used for Upgrades so I am failing to see the validity of your argument...

Our honorable soldiers would never pickup axis heavy weapons to use them. They would not know how to use them anyway. And, the German weapons are prone to breakdown. But this lack of training means the same for our own guns. Soviet Union infantry cannot recrew heavy weapons. As compensation, Soviet weapon crews number four men.

No retreat, it was intended? ok but this is a great handicap ---> more micromanagement than other faction

no units compensate no fuel for tank.

If you give them that - then they`R invincible, I personally like them not securing points, Soviet`s don`t need SR, they have a lot of cheep inf to compensate.

A question:compensate all?
the problem isn't only NO secured resourcing, but....
NO secured resourcing+NO recrew+NO retreat

it'a problem in 1vs1.

yes. but T90 become too late!
not really.........Skip the 2nd building go straight for the tanks

yes I agree, but you haven't AT power. PUMA or STUG and you die.

The problem is early game to middle game.
Incredible power of MG42 pin your troops and all unit die.
sniper+volkgrenadier prevent all flank from command squads or other unit. All this whermacht unit are formed in T1 krieg barracks.

Free arty have a long recharge and avoid it with simple retreat button (shit I'm a soviet! don't have).
