I'm not sure what you've done here, but suggest a reinstall from scratch if you've got bits of two mods and have moved your CoH install directory.
Good luck !

SU-76 IMO is better than the LL sherman. It's a much more useful tank destroyer rather than a not-so-great at anything tank.
+1 its a superior tank destroyer, in all regards. It's not a main battle tank
+1 SU-76 is an excellent addition to the game imo. Though I'm going to have to learn how to keep them alive. Not doing so well at that yet . Thanks again guys. This is like getting v1.0 all over again...so much good stuff to try, learn and know !

OMG guys the changelog doesn't do justice to the work you've put into this upgrade. Well done and congrats to the whole team.
I did see a little wierdness in the game I just raced through against an AI but will post that elsewhere as it's probably me. Overall love it. The offmap arty for the sniper ace was a surprise - couldn't help but laugh.
In a word : awesome. Thankyou !

Hi joe, and welcome to the forums. Are you trying to add EF to the version of CoH that you got on a retail DVD set? You should find that when you logon that it tells you there are updates, and the game will download and install for you then restart. From my original DVD there are heaps of patches so the process takes quite a while. After a few updates you'll get to a version that installs a peer-to-peer bittorrent client which can make further updates faster. After the last one is applied you'll be able to logon to multiplayer games. At that point your CoH is ready and you can exit, and install EF, and all should be well.

AT gun 3.36, Motar 3.36, "ambulance" 3.36 = 3.36 * 3 > 8 = 10.08 > 8
Thankyou for the explanation. I thought tick = second, but your explanation has set me completely straight. That makes perfect sense now. Glad my ammo didn't go backwards now - cheers !

I have also seen this and thought I wasn't seeing right. If we've got the same issue, the ammunition count doesn't count up at all after gaining ammunition points. It makes the game impossible to continue as it locks out lots of upgrades and off-map abilities.
In my most recent skirmish (which I've not finished but have a save if that's useful) the ammo got stuck at 33...
Edit: read that changelog now. I did have a vehicle deployed - the offmap lend-lease Sherman...how high in ammo point value should it take if I have one of those deployed? My ammo wasn't climbing at all...yet I had more than one ammo point owned and one of those was capped too.
Post Merge: September 21, 2010, 11:58:12 AM Just reconfirming. Same game - skirmish 1v1 - the lendlease tank gets killed so there are no more russian vehicles and I've got an ammo point capped with +8 and yet the ammunition count isn't going up. I have a firebase, an AT, a mortar and an ambulance at this point, but should that add up to cancelling out a +8?
I have a saved game at this point if that's useful.

It's a good question. For my money it would be taking the game to another conflict. Like you suggested, Vietnam is probably the logical progression since Korea would probably be too similar to WW2 to make it sufficiently different.
It would certainly give you two completely different sides for almost two different games in the gameplay each requires.

I don't see any improvement in stability, in fact probably less so. One new feature is I'm finding EF players crashing at the same time - not just one player failing, but all. Attached are files from tonight's latest crash.
you sure this isnt the bug with the Red Banner Strelky havnt taken a look at the reports yet, as im busy with college work
Hi I can only confirm that I wasn't using Red Banner Strelky at the time. But I take your point - since we all crash my machine might not have been the source. I was hosting the game though. Previous night a similar thing, both players playing russian crashed simultaneously to a hanged game. What does the Strelky error look like in the logs? I guess ultimately we'll know, if that problem goes away with the new patch.

Is there any progress to report on sorting out the crashes? There are a lot of reports here now - have any of them helped?

Update
The Wehrmacht Terror Propaganda doctrine ability is now working properly against the Russians - forcing a retreat.
1 less reason to add in retreat
Dragon, is that in the current version or in the upcoming 1.05 patch? I've not been playing terror doctrine against russia...so this will be a welcome fix!

Welcome to the forums.
Under the SETTINGS tab in the EF Launcher, does the CoH Directory value correctly represent the location of the game on your PC?
Press the SELECT button there and you'll get to browse to the correct spot. Hopefully that sorts it for you. Cheers !

The other thing to consider is the competing technologies. Rockets were already showing greater range and payload without the associated transport issues of this proposed tank. Aircraft were delivering more ordinance over greater ranges already, and the day of the big gun was pretty much over.
This really was a pretty bad solution to a question that wasn't being asked.
Nice article Cranialwizard. And I have to agree with you on the problem of scale for CoH too. It's not only too big, but unless it is for a fantasy mod, it has no place in CoH.
