i think they should add more units to all fractions, and add artillary tanks like an m12 for ex, and add more heavy tanks like a russsian is-7 or a german mause. they should also put in the stormtrooper unit and the rangers to be availible for build in the barracks. but yeah, they should add more units. :)

Well, imo (and is just my opinion :)) IS-3 could fit with soviets, giving them a Relic-esque touch to EF. Every faction has more than one similar unit after all ;D.

The IS-3 sould be a one time call-in unit, like the King Tiger, it was manufactured little numbers in the war. I read a russian memoir in the war, and they got an is-3 after the siege of Budapest. It would be most powerful tank in the game. ;)

replacement reward for isu-152? increase CP by +1?
I think since it can knock out king tiger and dust itself off that replacing the already animal killer isu152 seems fitting

Just be sure to make some call-in pigeons, to make it shitty for axis (i.e. they should get a passive ability to lower suppression thresholds of enemy troops in the area of their presence). ;D

There is a limit to the number of units available from any 3x4GUI EG. SovT4HQ. The Ostheer concept, announcements indicate a neutral unit ??? will be needed for the Sov_T4HQ. I expect/hope it is the BT7m, :) It will probably be the T70 Lt. AFV as it is all ready designed and would work with the KV/85 (shown in Ostheer announcement 5.5. The T90e 8) would be my choice for the neutral T4HQ - it is a really dynamic game piece). We will find out when some Ostheer Announcement heralds the arrival of the Sov_T3HQ. ;)
Maybe Dragon93 could weigh-in on the unit cap limits in Ostheer.
The use of fantasy units in an historical simulation is absurd. >:( Likewise use of prototypes, (Mausprototype) :-[ or experimental units like the T90experimental a not good idea but for different reasons. I am not advocating removal of the T90. There are special cases and the T90 fills a role.
Since this is a units thread I would like to suggest:
Berge_PzI : to recover those tasty looking Pz5gs (d)? on the Cottbus Map
Graz dp ATG/AA : to tackle early game PzIIIj/ Stuka call-ins. or to take out those pesky UFO's. Of course we could use captured Me 410 "Zerstörers" for that role. ;D
BTW re: map Cottbus has anybody figured out the CoH White-Tank Wreck Bug? :'(
It still showed up in EFv1.302.

Its not like there were many Ostwinds/Bergetigers/(No US T17s)/Pershing(two dosen used in ww2..maybe 5 combat actions?) either...lets be honest here, don't pick on the T90
T60s with 20mm might be more...common, but that would look/sound all too similar to WH/PE/US vehicles. We might replace it if we get the right unit in game....in the distant future. In the same spirit, an IS3 or even PantherII wouldn't really break any hearts as they're not all that different to a Panther/IS2 and would just make up for a unique visual treat, no crazy stats

EF is making an exellent start as a Historic simulation Game.
It already has a market share of about 5000.

EF isn't meant as Historic Simulation game, because it was made like an unofficial expansion, hence, the gameplay doesn't differs from CoH.

Well, you got that right, since EF i haven't used the normal game, except for CoH:O and CoH Retail Beta Patch, used a couple of times both.
Afaik, automatch works in EF.

thx blackbishop I wasnt even aware automatch worked. Before I download EF I was competitive auto match solo ladder player.
I tried using automatch a few times on EF i guess no one was searching for game like me though

True, but the trouble is, you cannot really work with what is predominantly a narrow minded/impossible to please/intolerant community that cries for change while at the same time rejects it, unless it comes from the 10 or so GR Guru's.
With 15k downloads from one mirror site alone for the latest 1.3 EF version, you'd expect GR to want to build on our popularity to attract these users, not the other way around...alas....

May be i will post in another thread, or make another one, but i want to to save a moderators nerves & server space.
Suggestion.
To remake a present EF Soviet side as a infantry/motorised infantry.
- no heavy tanks, more stationary artillery (plus produced in the depot as Gun units) & no mobile artillery. Plus Armored cars.
- in game (no special ability) mobile infantry descent
- No air support
Make a new faction - Soviet strike army.
- Almost complete a mobile vehicles.
- Poor infantry support & no heavy & no mobile artiilery support. Only air support.
- Mobile artillery.
P.S.: US army & Commonwealth
We-ht & Tank Guard conception
It takes a wide range for future action.

Nope. we've not spent 1.5 yrs restructuring and re-balancing the soviets only to re-do it because...someone thinks its a great idea and we have nothing better to do.

It's not "only" & "only one" good idea...
It will engage in more admirers. With a good realization, with admirers from the far East.
It will take a chance to include more suggestions, & will slow down threads number explosion about "how great new tanks & more" ...
Can be promising for some help from other modders, if the product publicity in a good hands.

Not really...its the same story all over again....10 guys get together and think they know better and that their ideas are clearly amazing and therefore someone should make a mod for them...which no doubt will be the best thing since sliced bread...cause they've thought some amazingly cool stuff...which someone else should do for them.
I'm certain it would engage those 10 guys...the same guys who think 1 shot 1 kill for tanks is awesome...but the thing is you see....that's not what we want. We make the mod the way we want and like and tweaking it to appeal to the majority of people who share our vision

I should agree, the idea of adding some even more units, or redeveloping the whole faction's build is actually out of place. The focus should be rather put on perfecting cost/effectiveness of existing ones, getting rid of some major "features" (=bugs), than on adding/removing something.
