first of all thanks for this mod, sorry for bad english im from turkey,
im new eastern front player and i downloaded 1.30 version.
1st problem: i took classic message "unable to locate coh directory." then i saw a topic, he was telling a solve for the problem, i tried and it work. but it goes directly to the game, not by launcher. how can i update my eastern front?
2nd problem: when i win or lose game doesnt end, theres no you're victorious or you've been defeated message, then i click main menu, it says skirmish loss confirmed :) im waiting for your helps comrades.
and a bug report, when the game starts i see my terittory all black in minimap and nothing works, when i click menu and click resume, it fixes it. is it normal?

Did you installed any other mod besides EF?
The solution to "unable to locate coh directory." is to add some registry entries or reinstall CoH, as explained on the list of issues and fixes topic (http://easternfront.org/forums/index.php?topic=1677.0). But as looks like your CoH has something else screwed and you don't have other choice than reinstalling CoH.
Reinstall CoH, update it up to 2.601, then reinstall & update EF. If you have CoH over steam, make sure the install path of EF is the correct one. If after installing CoH & EF the "unable to locate coh directory." error persists, could you provide your company of heroes directory and your OS?

i have coh online and coh tales of valor, i downloaded it via downloader, approximately 8gb, it'll be so long again..

All downloaded files are saved to your hard drive anyway, so, you just have to find them.
Besides, try uninstalling, and then re-installing the mod (EF), not the game itself, since it might be the mod installation issue.

oh i made a mistake, i was searcing for re-install button on uninstaller of coh, but it didnt ask it deleted some files, then i interrupted it, files doesnt come back, how can i recover them help please..

hey i re-installed game, i re-installed mod, i corrected the directory, i tried everything you said but my problem is not solved.

ok... do you have the same error? could you post your coh directory? do you use a 64 bits OS?

Btw, which error do you get, problem 1 or problem 2? (from your first post)
If it's problem #1, try running the attached file, then try to run EF using the launcher.
If it's problem #2... Did you download all the updates for 1.30? (currently 2)
The launcher should download them, if not, in that case you can try installing manually.

attached file doesnt work..
my first problem is about launcher. but i found a way to skip launcher and get in the game. it skips launcher so i cant say "check for updates". my problem is this.
my second problem is in-game problems, they're not important, important one is launcher problem.

Could you post an screenshot of your CoH directory??
Also, could you post an screenshot of CoH or EF main menu?

Looks like everything is right... do you install the updates for 1.30???

if not, download them and install them, make sure the install path is the correct one.
1.30 has some missing files, that could be the reason your game has problems.
Also, could you open regedit(start menu->run) and search for this key?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Company of Heroes
then right-click over the folder and select export. Could you upload that file here? Perhaps you will need to zip that file or change its extension before doing it.

Ok, run the attached registry file, then try the launcher.

weird... at least you can run it from the shorcut :-\... in futures updates you will need to install them manually.
One last try... could you uninstall Eastern Front, then go to CoH directory and make sure Eastern Front folder doesn't exists. Go to CoH\WW2 and check if a DataAttrib folder exists, if true delete it.
Check if the size of your installer is 814943909 bytes(File properties->General Tab->Size).
Then install Eastern Front v1.30 and run the launcher. If you are promted by an error message, click ok and go to launcher settings, there in CoH Directory option select your CoH path.
When installing the updates make sure you put them in the right path.

in which settings are you running EF?
Try lowering your settings.
What are your computer specs?

pentium4 3.2 ghz
2gb ram
radeon x1550 graphics card( i cant remember model, memory's about 256mb)
i have no problem in tales of valor and my setting are not so high, but i'll lower it and try

What happens is that EF requires more resources than ToV, at least 1~2GB more of Ram. Also, if you can, remember to close all background applications that you have before starting EF(i.e. web browers).
Alternatively you can try Game Booster (http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html), it could help you to improve your pc's performace.
Perhaps those graphics glitches are caused by your video card. If happens that you have up to 4GB of ram on your machine somewhere in the future, you could considere to upgrade to Windows 7 x64. It's more stable there.
For now you can try lowering your settings, close background programs before starting the game and using Game Booster.

i have the same problem with EF, ive posted it, about a year ago, never solved the problem too and tried everything in this forum, it seems there is a difference with the copies of CoH here in Turkey, cant enter the mod through launcher only via modified shortcut and game is never ending =) also reequipped weapons makes game crash =/ still waiting for a solution

Waiting for a solution? Did you posted about this?? How do you expect your problem be fixed if you don't keep posting about it??
what solution?? the recrew fix?? It already exists from a while, it's called EF update 1.301. If you don't update the 1.30 version to 1.301 it won't stop to crash when capturing heavy weapons.
You could visit our topic Cannot download the patches? Look here! (http://easternfront.org/forums/index.php?topic=2533.0) and download all the patches you need to make your game up to date.
Alternatively, you can download the full 1.31 installer (http://www.moddb.com/mods/coheastern-front/downloads/eastern-front-130-full) that was uploaded to moddb yesterday.
I think you should download the full installer, uninstall your EF version, make sure all EF files were wiped out and install the lattest installer.

well i really dont have any problem about recrewing its not that important and i know there is a solution in forum, i said it to clarify the problems ive encountered, i dont know maybe related to others or so..
about the other two, launcher always said unable to locate CoH even though i tried everything and posted everything until you and one of the developers out of all ideas and none of the answers about that problem in forum suited for me =)
Never ending skirmish thing is also weird cause i ve never heard of anyone other than me till this one so it picked my interest cause were both in same country and it maybe a problem related to copies in our country or some kinda regional settings issue about patches i dunno..
i'll download the latest right now, thanks
