Hello everyone!!! :)
The aim of this topic is to post links with music that have any military accent, military origins, or is about military deeds. Hopefully, people would post some translation/original lyrics, and would explain why it was created, why it was played, when... so we can understand! :D
I expect people will post music from their country, as it would be a great way to improve (at least) my understanding of their land's tradition and way of living (though its about military music, its still the reflect of society).
One can also discuss what's interesting in one or another song (anecdote?), or why he just like it!

Though I don't really approve the idea of opening such a topic, 'cause really soon you might find it populated with so called "fascist fetishists".
-
I do not target german or russian music specifically (though I would wanna see some unknown but powerful Red army Choir music), but any song related to wars. British, americans, polish, italians... I myself can post a few french song with lyrics in french and english. So even if there is (and I doubt there is a lot of them in this forum) "fascist fetishists", they will not have the high hand ;D
Anyway, I doubt there's a lot of music/song about Waffen-SS (or such) deeds ::)
EDIT:
Thats a french song about partisans during WW2. This is a well-known song in France, just like the "Marseillaise", so expect every educated french to know it! ;D
Le Chant des Partisans/ French WWII partisans's song.
Its a song composed by Anna Marly, and lyrics are from Joseph Kessel and Maurice Druon. Its the most popular song of french during occupation and after the liberation.
I had tears the very first time I heard it :'(
-
A most touching lyrics, I must say...
Reminds me of songs from the times of the civil war in Russia.
Truly, a peoples song... :'(
-
I guess that nearly every national anthem is about fight, sacrifice and other patriotical stuff. At least Polish anthem is.
-
A very touching song from those times I hope we'll never forget:
На Безымянной Высоте

I'll reopen again this thread if you want to share songs from your contries, but will be some rules to follow...
- No lyrics - You can use google to search for lyrics.
- No embedded videos - Just post the name of the song, search it in google/youtube if you are interested.
- No songs related to Hitlerjugend, Hitler, SS or any other forbidden Nazi crap - That kind of propaganda is not allowed, you know why; if you post this kind of stuff you will be banned, especially recidivist users.
Remember this is a forum for a CoH mod, we'll not tolerate ludicrous attempts to promote nazi ideology or any other kind.
-
c'mon Blacky, you should also deny any forms of communist/socialist/fascist/catolic propaganda.

Actually yes, i just wanted to remark those; but yeah, that's included in the last paragraph:
we'll not tolerate ludicrous attempts to promote nazi ideology or any other kind.
If you see any song that match that criteria, please let me know(and i'll proceed to order a tactical nuke over the post :P), i shall say i'm a little ignorant about this topic.
