Title: Wermacht strategy against the Russians
Post by: peterstepon on November 17, 2010, 02:53:27 AM
I find the Russians way too tough.  Even at an easy AI they are swarming the whole place and taking all the territory.  I am just starting this mod so I need a hand.  Is the playtesting done or are there still balance issues?  If there is a Wermacht strategy against the Russians I would love to hear it.

Do you have the latest version  ??? IMO soviets are no way near as invinsible you make them sound, if you have the latest version of the game its not the balance to blame its you who are lacking skill and experiance to beat that AI.

Please use search. There's several threads about Wehrmacht strategy on the very page you posted on.

Update. Latest version is 1.23.3 i believe.

If you have the latest version, I'm not sure a strategy will be enough to help you.

try to build volksgrenadiers to kill the ingees then they will run out of manpower and you can cap everything ;).

Start playing as Soviets if you want to know their weaknesses...
or just play like you would fight a US army (with buildable AT squads and Hetzers istead of M-10s).

Hmmm, I must be playing an outdated version.  The reason is that, if I play against the computer with a Wehmacht "buddy" the whole team loses.  This has happened several times.  If the Russian computer consistently beats the German computer by a wide margin there must be a chronic imbalance.
